Earlier this week, “The O’Reilly Factor” dispatched correspondent Jesse Watters to New York City’s Chinatown to hear what residents in the neighborhood had to say about Donald Trump and the 2016 election. That idea quickly devolved into one of the most offensive and glaringly racist segments to appear on Fox News in recent memory—quite the feat for a network that regularly receives its fair share of racism accusations.
On Thursday, The Daily Show‘s Ronny Chieng delivered a scathing takedown of Watters, slamming the correspondent for mocking Chinese Americans and packing racist stereotypes into his man-on-the-street reporting.Â
“If you’re going to be racist, at least get your stereotypes right, you ignorant sack of shit,” he said. “Karate isn’t Chinese, it’s Japanese. And you’re doing it in a taekwondo studio, which is Korean, you fucking jackoff.”
Chieng also went to Chinatown to ask what people thought about the widely decried segment—and residents did not mince words. Watch above.
