Please Keep Asking Ruth Bader Ginsburg, “How Many Women on the Supreme Court Are Enough?”

PBS

While speaking to students at Georgetown University earlier this week, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg revealed that she is regularly asked when she believes there will be “enough” women sitting on the Supreme Court.

While most of us would respond with nothing more than a polite groan (Did you seriously just ask that?), Ginsburg was equipped with the perfect answer, which you can watch below.

(Bonus: Ginsburg also revealed that if God were to grant her any talent in the world, it would be to become a “great diva.”)

Fact:

Mother Jones was founded as a nonprofit in 1976 because we knew corporations and billionaires wouldn't fund the type of hard-hitting journalism we set out to do.

Today, reader support makes up about two-thirds of our budget, allows us to dig deep on stories that matter, and lets us keep our reporting free for everyone. If you value what you get from Mother Jones, please join us with a tax-deductible donation today so we can keep on doing the type of journalism 2022 demands.
