This looks to me like a scene from Texas or somewhere similar, but it’s actually a picture of the Los Angeles River. Perhaps you remember it from watching Chinatown? Anyway, it’s not much of a river, but it sure does inspire lots of visionary “revitalization” plans that never seem to happen. Maybe the 2020s are the decade when it will finally all come together.
